Protein Skimming 101

We now skim excess proteins and other waste from our tank water via a protein skimmer.

Now an interesting twist. There are tons of favorable reviews for a brand called Reef Octopus. My local fish shop (LFS) had this brand, so I buy said product. Now, the labels on my item point me to this site:

But this site looks like the original. So, what's up??? Something (ptp) smells fishy...
